Las fluctuaciones de caudal y carga contaminante, la inestabilidad de los procesos biol\u00f3gicos, las limitaciones de los sistemas de aireaci\u00f3n y la acumulaci\u00f3n de s\u00f3lidos pueden comprometer la calidad del efluente, incrementar los costos operativos y afectar el cumplimiento de los requisitos ambientales.
