Su importancia radica en que proporciona herramientas para que las organizaciones operen de manera eficiente y responsable, fortaleciendo su credibilidad y reputaci\u00f3n, y asegurando la protecci\u00f3n de los derechos humanos. La figura del implementador l\u00edder ISO 18788 es crucial para el \u00e9xito de la implementaci\u00f3n de un Sistema de Gesti\u00f3n de Operaciones de Seguridad (SGOSP) en cualquier organizaci\u00f3n.
