El tratamiento de aguas residuales dom\u00e9sticas es muy importante para conservar el ciclo del agua y el medio ambiente, pues permite un mayor acceso al agua potable, evita problemas de salud por la exposici\u00f3n a los componentes de las aguas residuales, reduce costos de energ\u00eda, adem\u00e1s de reducir los niveles de contaminaci\u00f3n.
