Cada pa\u00eds reglamenta de forma individual la informaci\u00f3n que debe llevar el etiquetado, sin embargo esta informaci\u00f3n de ninguna manera puede ser menor a los m\u00ednimos establecidos por los entes internacionales de control alimentario a nivel mundial como son OMS, FAO y la Comisi\u00f3n del CODEX ALIMENTARIUS.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Seg\u00fan la FAO (Organizaci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentaci\u00f3n y la Agricultura) la informaci\u00f3n presentada en los productos alimentarios es un medio muy importante y directo para transmitir datos, advertencias, requisitos, indicciones entre otros, al consumidor sobre los ingredientes, la calidad o el valor nutricional. La definici\u00f3n aceptada internacionalmente de \u201cetiqueta alimentaria\u201d es cualquier marbete, rotulo, marca, imagen u otra materia descriptiva o gr\u00e1fica, que se haya escrito, impreso, estampado, marcado en alto relieve o adherido al envase de un alimento o a un producto alimentario que contienen informaci\u00f3n relevante del empaquetado.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">El CODEX alimentario establece los lineamientos a nivel internacional del etiquetado de los productos alimentarios y afines as\u00ed mismo se encarga de revisar peri\u00f3dicamente la informaci\u00f3n que se presente al consumidor en particular informaci\u00f3n enga\u00f1osa con fines comerciales.
