Irresponsabilidad social de las empresas y la falta de alternativas para el cuidado de este valioso recurso son dos de las causas de esta realidad. La biorremediaci\u00f3n de aguas residuales surge como una propuesta novedosa debido a su alta eficiencia en la descontaminaci\u00f3n de aguas residuales tanto dom\u00e9sticas como industriales y tambi\u00e9n a sus bajos costos de este proceso. La biorremediaci\u00f3n es un biosistema que aprovecha las bondades de las plantas para consumir los nutrientes que contaminan las aguas para su crecimiento fisiol\u00f3gico, tambi\u00e9n aprovecha la adsorci\u00f3n de metales pesados para la descontaminaci\u00f3n de aguas residuales industriales.
