Esto se debe a que cada departamento de un hospital genera diversos tipos de residuos sanitarios, desde el personal de limpieza y mantenimiento hasta los quir\u00f3fanos, las unidades de enfermedades infecciosas, etc. Lo mismo puede decirse de las comunidades de enfermer\u00eda especializada: cada centro tiene necesidades \u00fanicas que var\u00edan seg\u00fan la cantidad de camas, los procedimientos realizados y las especialidades de la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica. La gesti\u00f3n integral de residuos hospitalarios es crucial para proteger la salud p\u00fablica, el medio ambiente y la seguridad del personal de salud.
